GDH Consulting is seeking candidates with working knowledge of FirePOWER and Sourcefire for an onsite Security Network Engineer position located in Houston, TX.

Role Responsibilities

Firepower Upgrade Support Firepower 5.4.x, 6.1.x, 6.2.x, FTD Upgrading to various codes between 6.1.x and 6.2.x

Individual will serve as a team member for extended engagements 

Lead customer, post-sales engagements.

Engage customers to identify business and technical requirements.

Collaborate with solution experts to develop and deploy secure solutions.

Educate and mentor customers and peers.

Tune and optimize security solutions.

Onsite 4-5 days a week.

 

Skills Required

Candidate must be an experienced Security Network Engineer.

Working knowledge of FirePower migration, installations, able to manage configurations; upgrade

Self-motivated individual that is dedicated to exceeding client expectations, be willing to contribute to team efforts, and possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

·         Minimum of 5-6 years’ experience in the information and network security industry in addition to a BS (or additional 2 years of experience) 

·         Strong consultative skills

 

Desired Skills

Experience working in professional services, preferred.

Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) preferred.

IPS/SourceFire, ASA, CSM, ACS, VPN, FTD, ACI, Trustec, Stealthwatch a plus.
