Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, self starter, able to work in a team setting, OLTP environment experience. 

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating and administering databases including Production.
  • Needs to be proficient in managing RAC databases.
  • Needs to have a very good working knowledge of failover and high availability.
  • Must have worked with OLTP systems.
  • Support production Oracle databases 
  • Should have demonstrated knowledge and experience troubleshooting, tuning and monitoring database(s) including the use of OEM and other Oracle performance tools.
  • Installing and upgrading Oracle database and applications 
  • Oracle RMAN backup and recovery 
  • Patching Oracle databases.
  • General Oracle DBA functions 
  • Will be part of an on-call rotation.

Education: 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience 

Experience: 6+ years experience in database administration 

Knowledge/Skills: Detailed knowledge of database definition, structure, documentation, long range requirements, operational guidelines and protection

Skills:Oracle Linux knowledgeexperience with Oracle 11.2 and higherability to work independently and as part of a team.the ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure.good organizational skills.flexibility and adaptability.good Linux scripting skills
